“A vision is not just a picture of what could be; it is an appeal to our better selves, a call to become something more.” Rosabeth Moss Kanter
Creating your Vision of success
Step 1
Find a quiet place where you won't be interrupted and turn off your phone and any other distractions.
Get comfortable and relax. Perhaps take a few deep breaths and release any unhelpful tension.
Step 2
Imagine yourself at a point in the future when you are living the life you dream of. Create a vivid picture or movie in your mind and notice what you can see, hear, smell, possibly even taste and what you feel against your skin such as the breeze or heat of the sun.
Step 3
Watch the picture or movie unfold in your imagination and look for the story..
Where do you live? What does your home look like? What is your lifestyle?Where are you working? What are you doing? What are you earning? Who are you serving? Who is in your life? How are these relationships? What are you doing for fun? How are you caring for yourself? How are you spending your time?
Ask these and many more questions. get curious about the life you imagine when you consider your ideal life.
Step 4
How does being in this life feel?
How do you feel...when you get up on a morning...when you are working?...when you finish work?...when you are with loved ones?...when you are on your own?...when you are doing your hobbies?
Step 5
Write down your thoughts, capture as much detail as possible and revisit regularly. Use your vision of success to motivate you to take the actions to achieve all that you imagined.

Creating a vision for your ideal future is an effective way of creating motivation in your entire body (motivation is a sensation as well as an emotion). The more detail you can imagine for your ideal future, the more likely you are to connect with the feeling of motivation related to wanting to achieve the success you imagine.

Get Creative with your Vision
You can also get creative with your vision and draw out your ideas or collect random pictures from magazines and create a collage to symbolise your vision of success. You can build this over time or in one sitting.
